A nationwide effort of haunters to raise over $100,000 dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the 2023 Halloween and Holiday seasons, with the ultimate goal of breaking a million dollars by 2025!

Now onto a Million!
In just less than 4 seasons, Skeleton’s for St. Jude Children’s Hospitals has raised over a HALF A MILLION DOLLARS!! Jeff Robertson had a goal of raising ‘some’ money by using his Halloween display but NEVER thought to have the following and the compassion of those individuals he has today! YOU are the ones who made this all happen and cannot be thanked enough!
What an absolutely fantastic season! We have literately CRUSHED every milestone we set out to achieve this season! First we wanted to reach $100K for the season and we have currently raised over $250K. Then we had a goal to surpass the $500K mark collectively over the 4 seasons and you have CRUSHED that as we currently over $637K. Lastely, our goal of surpassing the number of homes on the map has also been CRUSHED as we are well over 670 homes to date!
Along the way, we strengthened partnerships, gained new friends, new relationships and new collaborations! Thank you to Bonfire for another season getting our SWAG out to the masses! Thanks to St. Jude Children’s Hospital for their continued support and featuring the Team in their on-line Inspire magazine. Thanks to Frightmaps for our new partnership and collaboration to get our participants more visibility for their displays. As mentioned, this brought in another 100+ homes to the SSJ Family. Finally, a big THANKS to our 2023 sponsors, many of which have returned for a second year!
Remember … Just because Halloween is over does not mean your collection activities have to come to a close. Your QR codes and collection site on St. Jude will continue to work well into the new year. Last year we saw members collect well past the new year!

- Still crushing it!! 30 October 2023 we surpassed the $200K mark – HOLY COW.

- 2023 saw 669 homes on the map – This surpasses the total for 2022! Yet another record created for the 2023 Haunting season! Again, we cannot thank YOU enough for getting the word out and being patient with us as we get everyone taken care of!
- $500,000 Goal surpassed!! Just after midnight on 21 October 2023 – The SSJ Team surpassed the goal of raising a half a million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. What a fantastic feeling to be a part of such a special program that Jeff Robertson put together only four short years ago. Who knew his vision would bring us to where we are today! Not enough THANKS can go out to all who are involved!
- HEY … Have you heard??? St. Jude Children’s Hospital is considering allowing us to continue our campaigns through 2024 Halloween Season – This means we can KEEP our existing QR codes and NOT have to get new ones next year! This is HUGE!!
- SSJ has teamed with Frightmaps to enable you to place your haunt/home display on their free app with a SSJ icon to show you supporting St. Jude. New signs have been uploaded to the signs page including the Frightmaps QR code. If you have not printed your sign yet, consider supporting Frightmaps by downloading the new signs and displaying their QR code!
- 7th Annual Hoodie / T-Shirt Sale is now CLOSED and will close 29 October 2023. We have raised over $12,500 in total overall from just hoodies and shirts! Over 100 units sold to date! THANK YOU for your support in sporting the colors and getting additional interest in our goals!
- This website will be the source of all materials for the campaign this year. Having too many sources breeds mis-communication and we do not want to have that. Check back often as we will be updating almost daily across the next several months.
What a great idea! Member Erika has facilitated a cool idea for kids and adults alike! Here is her post from the Facebook group – “Hi fellow Haunters!!! I’m super excited to be participating in this amazing cause for a second year! 
We Had a lot of fun last year and are looking forward to it again this year. I reached out to a friend that has an amazing pumpkin carving pattern website www.Stoneykins.com, to see if he would create a pattern of the Skeletons for St. Jude’s logo. He was kind enough to create it free of charge for us to print and carve on our pumpkins! 
He made 3 from us to choose from You can go to the FREE pattern section on his website to print and carve on your pumpkin! I’m going to carve one or 2 and put them right with my sign out front. Happy Halloween and Happy Decorating everyone!!!! “

The fundraiser originated in Holly Springs, NC in 2020 with Jeff Robertson placing a St. Jude fundraising sign in his yard after a local TV stationed aired his skeleton Halloween display. After generating $8,200 and meeting several people impacted by childhood cancer, including a precious two-year-old girl who was going through treatment, Jeff decided to go bigger and better in 2021! This decision turned out to be a huge hit expanding to 400 homes nationwide and bringing in over 1900 members to the Facebook Group.

How do I get started?
Join over 1900 others in helping the children of St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Visit the Skeletons for St. Jude Facebook page (link under Follow Us) for more information.
Download the sign file (Avail Now!) and have it printed at a nearby Office Depot, Staples or sign shop of your choice. Click on the Signs tab at the top of the page for more
Displaying the sign in your yard allows those visiting your display to scan the barcode and donate to St. Jude. Many have incorporated it as a central part of the their display and when you do, we ask that you take a picture and post to our Skeletons for St. Jude Facebook group and so we can add you to our map.
This page, along with the Skeletons for St. Jude Facebook page (link under Follow Us) will show all of the donations along with the totals in real time. It is always fun to watch the numbers go up day by day, hour by hour!

Be a part of the over 400 homes in 2021 and 625 homes in 2022 displaying their signs and collecting donations for the children of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to see more than 1,000 homes nationwide in 2023! We know this is a hefty push, however, we saw a huge growth in a very short period of time last year and we know, with your help, we can get there!
News Highlights:
Jeff set out in 2022 to place an SSJ sign at more than 400 homes, raise $100,000 and exceed $250,000 collectively over the past three years. All of these goals have not only been met but have been destroyed! Over 625 homes currently have signs displayed, over $214K has been raised to date (Doubling our annual goal) and more than $7,000 in shirt sales combining to show a grand total of over $373K collectively!
